Esther Gordy EdwardsAfter Motown moved to LA, Esther continued her work at Hitsville Motown Records. People began to knock on the door asking to see Studio A, the original Motown recording studio where many favorite songs had been recorded.
She would stop her work and proceed giving the guests a tour of Motown. It quickly occurred to her that this building was a monument to the music Motown created. In 1987, the state of Michigan declared the Motown building a historical site. |
