Rebirth.
Unfortunately education again fails to fit into our sight model as there is really nothing to talk about as far as rebirth. Amidst lots of attempts to fix the plethora of issues facing the education system almost all of them have been less than successful. As we have already mentioned Detroit is currently the lowest scoring school district in the nation with no signs of improving soon. Betsy Devos pushed hard to switch to a charter school focused system where the majority of students would be in charter schools not public, loosening the restrictions and making it extremely easy to open charter schools ended up creating more problems than it solved, students left public schools for charters and ended up causing more public school to be closed/under population.

Yet student in charter schools have seen no difference in grades or scores than public. The only upside being the college attendance rate, however several of the higher scoring public school in Detroit actually outperform the majority of charter school in college attendance %. Aside from Charter schools the majority efforts to fix the educations systems surplus of issues has come from citizens who are worried about there children's futures. Various fundraising and social gathers have been organized over the years although there as been success within a few individual schools overall there has been little success. Essentially the single upside we see from the Detroit education system is the student achievement. Students have seen high levels of success in national robotics competitions along with various musical awards. The (small) amount of kids scoring in the top percentile also are constantly credited for there high academic achievement, this, however seems to be a small glimmer of hope in the sea of darkness that is the Detroit education system.
